The stop TB Patient Kit have been developed to support the DOTS-strategy, initiating the following objectives:

• Simplifying the treatment of TB patients
• Controlling the TB patient during treatment
• Ensuring the availability of anti TB-drugs during the complete treatment of a TB patient

The stop TB Patient Kit for Category I and III patients contains anti-TB drugs sufficient for the full treatment of one category I or III TB patient. Each kit contains Rifampicin 150mg/ Isoniazid 75mg/ Pyrazinamide 400mg/ Ethambutol 275mg tablets for treatment during the two months intensive phase.

For the TB the continuation phase several options are available, depending on the treatment scheme of the program, such as: Rifampicin 150mg/75mg tablets for daily treatment for a period of six months, or Rifampicin 150mg/Isoniazid 150mg tablets for intermittent treatment for a period of four months
